Youth Mutual Ideas

 

  • (YW) Sew the skirt and bonnet you will wear on Trek. {Knowledge}    

  • Decorate and make seat cushions on  5 gallon buckets

  • Cook a meal without the use of a modern kitchen and share it with someone. {Good Works} [Camp, Backpacking]

  • Log onto familysearch.org and add your personal family history information or help someone else to add to theirs.    

  • Upload photos or personal memories of an ancestor to your family history on familysearch.org

  • With the help of your parents, leaders or ward family history specialist, search the records to find an ancestor and submit his or her name for temple work. {Individual Worth}    

  • Write your life history in 500 words or more. {Divine Nature} [Genealogy]

  • Fill out a family group sheet with one of your parents or grandparents listed as a child. {Individual Worth}[Genealogy]

  • Visit the Family History Library. [Genealogy],                                                                   

  • Invite your grandparents or other senior citizens to share their childhood memories with you. Record what you will have learned in your journal. {Good Works, Individual Worth}[Genealogy]                  

  • Hike a 3-10 mile trail at a park near you.   

  • Work on the personal fitness merit badge

  • Learn to play the songs listed on the Pioneer Trek website on a musical instrument.
